Kostolany idén lenne 105 éves. Budapesten született (Váci út 10.), csokornyakkendőben végigspekulálta a világ tőzsdéit, 4 nyelven beszélt ("magyarul a Jóistennel, franciául a barátaimmal, angolul a bankárokkal, németül a hallgatóimmal és mind a négy nyelven a hölgyekkel"), 93 éves koráig élt az Egyesült Államokban, Franciaországban, Németországban. Rajongott a festészetért és zenéért, majd Szondi Lipót tanácsára elkezdett írni és lett számos könyv és még több szellemes, tőzsdéról szóló cikk szerzője, ezen felül még 90 éves korában is hetente többször tartott előadást a tőzsdéről.
